This stunning handcrafted wooden cross combines rich natural wood grain with striking resin artistry. The upper section is filled with swirling blues, whites, and silver resin, creating a luminous, galaxy-like effect with depth and movement. The tall wooden shaft below features warm, flowing reddish-brown grain. At the base, a hand-carved calf-roper.

Artist Note

I made this piece out of my deep love for rodeo. For as long as I can remember, the arena has felt like home. What moves me most is the calf horse — in my eyes one of the most talented and intelligent athletes on earth. These horses read a calf in a split second, match its every move, stop on a dime, and work with a combination of power, timing, and heart that few other animals possess. This cross is my way of honoring that remarkable partnership and the spirit of the West I grew up in. Much Love!
