"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze".

Artist Note

This cross was born from Isaiah 43:2 — a promise that has held me steady more times than I can count. The deep blue resin flowing down the wood is meant to look like living water: the rivers we wade through, the floods that rise higher than we ever expected. I shaped it that way so every time someone looks at this piece, they would see both the storm and the One who walks through it with us. No matter how alone we feel, no matter how high the waters climb or how hot the fire burns, He is already there. He does not wait on the other side of our pain — He steps into it with us.
